The Marble Canyon, Arizona Area

Browse our Photo Gallery

There’s so much to see and do in this beautiful part of the country. Most people come here for rafting and fishing on the Colorado River, but other great reasons to visit include seeing the Grand Canyon, just one mile away. Also just a few minutes away are Lee’s Ferry and the Navajo Bridge. The Marble Canyon Lodge is located near the last stop on most Colorado River rafting trips, so we are a great place to rest up after your exciting run on the rapids. Also nearby is the Navajo Bridge—the spot where US Highway 89A passes over the Colorado River and a great place to get some photos of the river. Our remote location is loaded with Native American history: just ask us—we love to talk about it!

Here are a few other reasons that folks drop by for a visit at the Marble Canyon Lodge:

  • National Parks
  • Fishing
  • Fine dining
  • Hiking
  • Mountain biking
  • River running
  • Photography
  • Lake Powell
  • Sightseeing day trips
  • Star gazing
  • Native American crafts

The Marble Canyon Trading Post

Remember that our fully stocked Trading Post is on-site and available for those last-minutes items you’ll need to get on the river or out on the trail. Forget your sunscreen or need some snacks or batteries? We’ve all got that and more! Located adjacent to the Marble Canyon Lodge, the Trading Post is convenient for all the gear you need to get outfitted and out the door. Also available are landscape photos, handmade jewelry, as well as Navajo pottery, ceramics and mugs.

Originally an Indian Trading Post that was run by Lorenzo Hubbell, who at various points in his career ran over thirty such trading posts in New Mexico and Arizona. Serving as a cultural bridge between the newly arrived whites and the Navajo, he was known as “Don Lorenzo”, “Old Mexican” or “Double Glasses.”
